This is the first Seascape Painting I've done for my Acrylic Painting Classes. The date for the class will be set for later on this month, probably after the 24th and probably on a weekday. I surprised myself on this one - I found a bank of thunderheads I liked, a body of water, patched in a Viking Ship, and thought of some Howard Pyle-styled rocks and sea foam, put them all together, and came up with this. I channeled N. C. Wyeth and Mr. Pyle, whom I look at from time to time. Two Classic American Illustrators, those guys. I sensed I had something special going on, so I spent extra time on it finishing it without overworking it. I'll have to come up with a simpler version for the class to do. If there is one.
